With a New Year, comes new opportunities for growth and achievement. As we all know, resolutions are made and often are difficult to keep. Between busy schedules and other priorities, it is easy to get off track when life intervenes. Why not make 2011 a COLORFUL year and surround yourself with cheerful hues!
BRIGHTEN UP YOUR WORKOUT
The number one New Year's Resolution the majority of Americans make is to Get In Shape. In reality, it's the hardest one to adhere too; therefore most will give up not long after beginning. Loss of motivation is a major contributor to this trend, and what could be a better cure to the work out blues than COLOR!
Train in style head to toe with bold splashes of electric hues from sports bras to running shoes. Get yourself dressed and ready to sweat without having to sacrifice your personality!
Pump up your accessories with shots of NEON. Rock out with bright headphones and I pod cover. Be greeted with a fresh splash of color while in downward dog on a cheery yoga mat. Re-fuel with fluorescent H2O.
BRIGHTEN UP, GET ORGANIZED
Balancing work, family, friends and responsibilities is a full time job which often leads to disorganized lives. Start off the New Year with a clean slate to which you build a solid foundation. Make the grueling task of de-cluttering your space a pleasurable one by swapping out the old and boring, and replace it with the COLORFUL and Conversational!
Eliminate clutter and add cheer to your desk space with bright colored organizers.
Create a splash with a colored accent wall or a bold wallpaper.
It’s a month of new hopes, beginnings, and colors! Celebrate the start of this year by stocking up on hues that will bring often dreary January to life. This month’s trends in color feature shining silver, sesame yellow, and cherry red.
The reflective ball falling in Times Square reiterates the theme of metallic silver this month. Sport chrome stilettos to a New Year’s Eve bash. Black tie affairs get a pop of pizzazz with silver embellishments. A dancing metallic branch is silkscreened on a plain, white pillow. Store treasures in a silver chest of drawers.
