Happy November!

This marks the beginning of the Holiday season and I hope everyone is looking forward to this time of the year. I will be coming into New York in the next few weeks and will be sending out a special invitation to work with me.

I want to talk about GOOD NEWS! The L.A. Textile Show, last month, was a promise of good things to come. The number of attendees was excellent and I found people to be very positive about the future. There were many instances where we had 3 rows of people waiting to work with us. It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen this at a trade show and it left me with a very good feeling..So, hang in there…an upswing in business may be just around the corner!

SPRING into Lifestyle

Early Spring and Spring/Summer 2013 are now officially available; we have already had wonderful response to our new palettes! COLOR continues to be the driving force for not only fashion but home as well. Here are a few of our amazing palettes for Home and Lifestyle. The line between apparel and home colors and trends has all but disappeared!

Malibu Style...A tranquil timeout of relaxed sophistication. Blues of serene escape and turquoise create a haven for lounging. White with pacific blue embellishments indicates ease of living. Salmon and coral hues of Coastal Bliss and Sea Siren summon feelings of summer romance. Deep brown brings forth cozy warmth at the end of the day.

On The Surface...A conceptual wonder for the senses. Rich tones of green and taupe create unexpected elegance. Global charm is represented in opulent shades of orange and gold. Rose and red in Flushed Luster and Sumptuous Glow establish a passionate ambiance. Vibrant purple mingles with a steel gray in perfect harmony.

VERSACE for H&M

In stores this month, the luxury brand has teamed up with the retail giant for what can only be described as the quintessential marriage of affordable fashion and Designer labels. The merchandise mix -consisting of apparel and accessories for women, men and even the home will be flying off the racks and into the closets of Fashionista's across the globe!

“The collection for H&M is the essence of Versace,” Donatella Versace stated. “For the collaboration we’ve brought back from the archives, as well as from more recent collections, some of the icons of Versace, such as the bright prints, the Greek key, and daring cuts. I can’t wait to see how H&M’s wide audience will make these pieces their own.”

November’s blustery weather brings with it all sorts of new colors: vibrant leaves, early sunsets, and autumnal cornucopias. However, the changes in hue are not just happening in the out-of-doors. Colors are deepening indoors, too. Look for rich burgundies, moody navies, and saturated magentas to be lining store shelves.

Roaring fires, mulled wine, and fallen apples all share this color in common: burgundy. An imported console catches attention when painted brick red. Turn your clock back in style with a vintage-inspired timepiece. Bundle up with a knit stocking cap in current. A crimson tie is silkscreened in contrasting pink.

No color could be darker than steel blue. First frosts are less biting with a pair of midnight blue mittens. A bountiful feast is served in hand-glazed ceramic bowls. Give thanks for stunning pumps in harlequin blue satin. Prep your home for holiday guests by updating your kitchen with faceted blue tile.

Hot pink cools down and becomes magenta this month. Cozy up on the couch with a felt pillow, accented with bursts of bright fuchsia. An ombre teacup features pink in its lightest and darkest tones. Add a punch to any outfit with a rosy resin ring. A silk shift is perfect for fall layering.

Temperatures are tumbling and falls colors are taking on a deeper tone. Accessories for fashion and home alike are showing up in much more saturated hues. As you start your holiday shopping this month, fill your cart with maroon winter apparel, black-blue décor, and pops of fun fuchsia. It’s important to both stay current and stay warm this November!
